DAELIBS Loggers

Tandem has introduced an electronic timesheeting system called DAELIBS. The DAELIBS system means that most support workers will have a DAELIBS logger that is exclusively theirs (it has a coded number identifying it as theirs) and most clients will have an i-button in their homes. I-buttons also have a coded number which allows Tandem to identify who it has been provided to. The support workers will scan their logger across the i-button each time a session is started and ended.
Support workers must place their DAELIBS logger in its white docking station (or cradle) overnight, which is when the logger will electronically send the start and finish times of all sessions the support worker has done that day, to the Tandem office. It’s just like a timesheet though without the worry of getting the timesheet to the office by lunchtime every Monday.
From 17 November 2010 DAELIBS are ‘live’ which means that you are generally no longer required to complete and submit a paper time sheet unless your coordinator or Finance has requested that you do so.
These Frequently Asked Questions and the Daelibs Support Worker Guide may be useful in answering any queries you have. If you would like further information or would like to speak to us about this system, please call Tandem on (02) 6288 0955 or (02) 6287 2870.

The National Aged Care Workforce Census and Survey

Your support for the Census and Survey is vital in providing the Australian Government and the aged care sector with a comprehensive profile of workers who care for frail older people.
By having your say you will be helping to inform the implementation of aged care reforms and improve workforce planning to meet future demand for appropriately skilled and qualified aged care nurses and other paid care workers. The better the response rate, the better the information that allows all of us to plan for the future and help your service continue to provide quality care to older Australians. Please be assured that your responses will remain confidential and identifying details will be removed prior to analysis.
The data from the Census and Survey will be presented only in aggregate form and no individual site or person will be identified by response. For further information regarding the Census and Survey please visit www.ipsos.com.au/NACWCAS or email censusandsurvey@health.gov.au
The survey has been commissioned by the Australian Government and is supported by our Expert Reference Group members who include representatives from Aged and Community Services Australia, the Australian Nursing Federation, the Australian Physiotherapy Association, Health Services Union East and the Lincoln Centre for Research on Ageing, La Trobe University,
