CLIENT HOLIDAY SCHEME (CHS)
The Client Holiday Scheme provides opportunities for Tandem clients to enjoy a short holiday outside of the ACT that they might not otherwise be able to afford. This could be a weekend away to catch up with family or friends or a visit to places dreamed of.
The scheme assists with covering the cost of the holiday, the cost of specialised equipment and a Support Worker (if required).

In 2010, twelve families enjoyed beachside get aways, country retreats, Pacific cruises and South coast roadtrips with the assistance of the Client Holiday Scheme.
BEN’S FAMILY
“We had a great time, where Kangaroos came right up to our cabin. It was good to be near the sea at a place we had never been before, and since out last holiday trip was in 2008, it was really needed. Ben loved playing in the sand and sea. The weather was warm enough to go for a swim and it was a beautiful area. Thanks again. We all feel much healthier and happier for going there.”

“My support worker Robyn and I went to the South Coast for a week. We had good weather, visited the zoo, museum, markets and beach, did lots of shopping and enjoyed morning and afternoon teas.
